What a week it has been here! I can hardly believe we are already at Saturday again. Thank you for joining me today for this look back at what has been on my table and in my cup. I wish I could say I was adventurous with my tea this week but I have stayed with a few good old standby's and will branch out perhaps next week.
This week I finished Dead with the Wind by Miranda James, such a wonderful series about two older southern belles and their adventures. A nice break in the paranormal cozy series I have been devouring the last few weeks. Miranda James did another wonderful job with this one!
This is the perfect time of year for the Witchy cozies and What is a Witch to Do by Jennifer Harlow
It was exciting and almost all consuming, I could not stop thinking about it when I was not reading it. I really enjoyed this story! I am looking forward to ordering the next two in the series
.
New flowers in my white depots for the table and photos, actually they are doing double duty on my Halloween Witches Tea Party Display!
I am still working on my display and need to arrange some lighting so that it looks even more inviting a few weeks from now!
I am reading Heather Blake's Ghost of A Potion, the third in her Magic Potion Mystery Series. A wonderful book for weekend reading! Thank you for joining me this week for a cup of tea and a week in review. I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com

Finished What's A Witch To Do?
I just finished What's A Witch To Do? By Jennifer Harlow, it was fantastic. But was it a cozy, it had mystery it had paranormal awesomeness, family, romance and it had sex and swearing. I am still not sure this is a traditional cozy, or if it deserves it's own category. I do know this though, start to finish this book was spectacular. I love witch themed mysteries as you have likely figured out but I also enjoyed that this book was so much more then what I had imagined based on the cover alone.
The cover of this book is truly fitting does justice to the book. I can not say enough about how much the main story line impressed me, how rich it was, how much I felt for Mona the main character. She was totally relate-able. Like in most of the cozy mysteries I read there was a love triangle, murders, mystery and mayhem and yet it has so much more!
In my on going experiment of choosing books based on their covers I think I scored a 9/10 with this one and I recommend this book if you are not put off by the occasional swear word (okay more then occasional but less then you would hear on public transit), I ordered my copy of What's a Witch to Do? By Jennifer Harlow from the Book Depository as a Canadian Book Lover the free shipping made purchasing this book easy and cost effective!
I thank you for joining me for a cup of tea and a cozy mystery and I would love to hear form you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com

New Flowers For The Pot! Check Your Michael's Store They Are 70% Off!
I went to Michael's The Craft Store yesterday, and the fall flowers I love from Ashland, were on 70% off. I have had so many wonderful and welcome comments on the beautiful arrangements in my tea pots and I shared my secret earlier this year on where I find them so that you can also add some to your tea table.
These were priced at $12.99 Canadian and they were under $4.00 each bunch which is a great deal! I loved the colors of these and each season they come out with the same size bouquet's that fit in my white teapots. I love them, they photograph well and they are not expensive.
Also the little wooden cut outs were on sale as well this one was about 45 cents.
I was thrilled my pre ordered copy of Looking for Mr. Good Witch by Joyce and Jim Lavene arrived followed by Ghost of a Potion by Heather Blake, I ordered both of these months ago and while I read the Looking For Mr. Good Witch on my Ipad already I am so thrilled to have it in paperback to go on my trophy shelf of books I have read. Heather Blake's book is high up on my TBR list and I am so enjoying What's A Witch To Do by Jennifer Harlow.
I am off to read a bit now. I hope you enjoy your day! Thank you for joining me for a cup of tea and a cozy mystery and craft today. I would love to see your teapots so if you make your own teapot flower arrangements do send me a photo! Leave a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com

Book I am reading and tea cozies I am coveting....
I bought What's a Witch to do by Jennifer Harlow from The Book Depository a few weeks back and I started it two nights ago and hate putting it down! I was about to go read some-more but then I remembered I had not written anything for today yet so I sat down and did some window shopping I wanted to share.
I love tea cozies, I make them, I use them, I always want to make more but I don't always have the time and I love how easy it is to order one, usually less expensive then me not only tracking down the supplies but also finding the time. Here are some of my Etsy favorites starting with the one above. DotsPassTime Etsy shop has many styles I love, This is actually one of my most favorite types of tea cozy as it fits around the tea pot. I love the whimsy of this cozy offered at $14.00
Simple classic, love this one, the fabric is really what drew me to this crow tea cozy! Click here to view bluebellandthefox's listing and it comes in several sizes!
If you have not tracked down a pumpkin tea pot this is a wonderful way to add some holiday fun to your favorite pot! This one is offered at under $20 US and is knit in the UK. I love this listing! Offered by Biskettblue Etsy shop this one is really nicely done! Click here for shop and listing.
Well now that my post is done I will run and try to read a bit before the chaos starts up again!

On My Table And In My Cup This Week September 26-October 3rd
This week I have had some fantastic new titles on my table and even had three visits from the mail man!
Surprises and books I ordered based on the covers arrived this week.
Not my typical cozy mystery covers either! Such a wonderful surprise to be sent Vicki Vass's books to review.
Of all of these books I have only read one book by author M.K.Graff so I have a few fun surprises headed my way in these tales I am told!
I finished up and loved Looking For Mr. Good Witch. I love the writing style of Joyce and Jim Lavene and this series is going to be a great one. Book two was as good if not better then the first and a great read.
I even treated myself to scones and tea this week, something I need to do again more often, my friend gave me the most beautiful jar of jelly which I enjoyed along with my scones. I love the idea of giving and receiving Jams, Jellies and homemade treats, I fear it is becoming a lost art.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thank you for joining me for A Cup of Tea and A Week in review. I would love to her from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com

3 Books I Saw On Pinterest That I Want To Read Based On Their Title And Covers!
So while I was brought up being told "not to judge a book by it's cover" I have found that when choosing a new to me cozy mystery and author this has been my best practice! With Halloween just around the corner I am really into the Paranormal Cozy Mysteries and set out to see if I could spy some I series I have not yet read!
I wanted to get out and go book shopping but my local book store doesn't carry anyone who is not top seller and I have to order my books from The Book Depostory to get the best price and free shipping so I was browsing Pinterest and found Three I can not wait to read!
The first book I came across that I want to read is this one by Jennifer Harlow. It was the cover that grabbed me and then the title truth be told. Here is the write up on the book from The Book Depository... "Mona McGregor's To Do List - Make 20 13 potions/spells/charms- Put girls to bed- Help with Debbie's wedding- Lose 30 pounds before bachelorette auction- Deal with the bleeding werewolf on doorstep- Find out who wants me dead- Prepare for supernatural summit- Have a nervous breakdown- Slay a damn demon- Fall in love..."
This one is in my basket at The Book Depository ready for me to check out as soon as I get paid this month! Click here to order it and read it with me!
Next up is this one who's very busy cover caught my eye! The White Magic Five and Dime looks great too! "Much to Alanis McLachlan's surprise, her estranged con-woman mother has left her an inheritance: The White Magic Five & Dime, a shop in tiny Berdache, Arizona. Reluctantly traveling to Berdache to claim her new property, Alanis decides to stay and pick up her mother's tarot business in an attempt to find out how she died. With help from a hunky cop and her mother's live-in teenage apprentice, Alanis begins faking her way through tarot readings in order to win the confidence of her mother's clients. But the more she uses the tarot deck, the more Alanis begins to find real meaning in the cards ... and the secrets surrounding her mother's demise" This one looks good too! Click here to learn more about it and read it along with me!
The third and last one as my cart is now over $30 in cozy costs for this order is Ghostly Paws by Leighann Dobbs, "Middle age can be murder ... At least that's how it seems to former crime journalist, Wilhelmina Chance, whose near-fatal accident has given her a strange side effect ... she sees ghosts. After a messy divorce sends her fleeing back to her hometown of Mystic Notch, nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Willa finds herself haunted by the tenacious ghost of the town librarian who insists Willa solve her murder. Luckily, she has lots of help, including a quirky cast of small-town characters, the cat she's inherited from her grandmother, and her best friend, Pepper, who claims her herbal teas can work magic. But just when Willa thinks she's discovered who the killer is, she finds out that things are not what they seem in Mystic Notch, and the case takes a strange turn that has Willa adding even some of her long-time friends to her suspect list. Can Willa find the real killer in time to keep the magical balance in Mystic Notch on the side of good, or will evil prevail?"
This one looks right up my alley as well! To learn more about this book or to order from The Book Depository please click here.
I am looking forward to putting these books on my table soon and if you have read them or have a series to recommend to me please leave me a comment below or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com
I am off to finish this cup of Earl Grey Tea, Enjoy your day!
