August First #Back2You

It is August first and I am getting excited. While I love having the boys home for summer, I so look forward to the fall. Back to routines, sweater weather and pumpkin spice. August 1st is for me when I start the back to school shopping and my thoughts quickly jump and turn towards the fast approaching Holiday season. Yes it will be here before you know it, and I found a site that makes shopping that much easier Wayfair.ca.
I am a destination shopper and trips to the mall are not high on my list of enjoyable activities so I appreciate the ease of shopping on line from home and while I was browsing while enjoying my morning pot of tea.  I stumbled upon Wayfair.ca and their #Back2You campaign and love the idea. Yes when it is back to school for the boys that means new school supplies, back packs and clothes but I love the idea of the #Back2You and the idea of a list all for myself. So please indulge me as I share my ultimate Wayfair.ca #Back2You wish list.  I fell in love with this Tea&Hope throw pillow and have placed it on the top of my #Back2You list. Often when the back to school roller coaster takes off and takes me with it I have moments where I feel overwhelmed, those anxious moments you know I turn to a cup of tea.
I love going through the Wayfair.ca site and making my wish list. I think this wooden sign is perfect for me, maybe perfect for many of us here!
Getting #Back2You an item I would love is this bath caddy that has the book rest, the one I have doesn't have this feature and this is a book lovers delight. I was surprised that this one is under $40 so it is on my #Back2You list for sure.

Cute as can be and on my #Back2You wish list is this magnifying glass holder in the shape of a dog. I think with all the cozies I read that feature these furry heroes this would make a great addition to my photos and not only is the magnifying glass a symbol of a "mystery hunter" for those of us North of 40, it makes a handy gadget also!

I have been wanting to find the perfect reading chair but have been unable to decide between a recliner and a chair and a half.  I was thrilled to see this Snuggle Recliner on Wayfair.ca .This chair has everything I am looking for and it reclines! This is on my #Back2You wish list for sure!

There are a few ultimate items for my #Back2You wish list and the Outdoor Sheds (free shipping)  like this one are so inspiring. A "She Shed" or "Backyard Reading Retreat" is just what every mom needs! I love my "tea tent" but a more permanent structure is high on my list of just for me items. This one is under $5,000 !

I think that it is the split farm door that makes this so endearing to me. I have always wanted a door like that.

This dreamy Outdoor Shed (Mom retreat, she shed, tea room, reading room, personal space) is slightly larger at 9 feet (and only about $1000 more then the previous one) and would give me more room for bookshelves and a cozy spot for tea and a read! Saving my loonies for something just like this from Wayfair.ca.

I know summer is not over yet but I am looking forward to fall an I am even looking forward to holiday shopping, on line and from my comfortable spot here with the perfect cup of tea. Thank you for indulging me this morning and I would love to know what would be on your ultimate #Back2You list.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day. I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com

An Update On My Tea Tent ...

I have not been reading in the last 24 hours as much as I would have liked. I have however been gardening, getting my back yard tea tent in shape.
Today I planted the succulent garden in a beautiful chandelier that was not working, I am only sad that I broke one of the glass containers so I had to remove another one, but I will put two solar lights in them and hope that they look okay.
I filled the glass with dirt and a succulent plant I love how it looks I think the little lights will be a welcome addition.
I recovered my hand-sewn pillows with some dollar store pillow covers, I was going to buy new pillows but for the price of two pillows I got 8 pillow cases that zip over the old ones! $24 is a great investment and now I just need to purchase a few more square pillows which will still be a fraction of the cost of 2 new ones. The dollar store ones are in a steel blue and steel grey, I can add embellishments easily if I wanted too at $3 each they are a steal! You can see them in the first tea tent photo above, they are the solid blue ones, I was loosing the light as I put this post together but will have more photos soon of the updated look.
My best find though thus far is the tent chandelier, this candle holder I added solar lights too and it is such a beautiful piece!
I hot glued in some solar lights and it is really pretty a night, not super bright but very pretty!
With candles going and the glow from the house lights this will be a lovely space to sit and read as the nights turn warmer.

While I love my front yard tea spots in the late spring and summer mornings, evenings in the back yard are much more comfortable. This photo is taken in my front yard under the maple tree, the one below is the tea table for two I have just outside the front door. Each space is unique and provides the most wonderful of respite.
I love having these 3 spaces to call my own, finding the right items to put in these special spots is a passion of mine, next up, book the tea tent for some afternoon tea with friends.
Thank you for joining me for a cup of tea and a cozy mystery today! I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com
