This week I have had some lovely new things on my table. New teapot and teacup shaped tea light holders, and a few new reads! Friday morning, I received word I had been approved to Tonya Kappes book Fixin To Die.
Thursday night I finished Nightmares can be Murder by Mary Kennedy.
Wednesday night I spent readin Lorraine Bartlett's A Dream Weekend.
Monday I reviewed The Calamity Cafe by Gayle Leeson, this one you are sure to love, out in June!
Sunday I reviewed another June release, Tea Cups and Carnage. Lynn Cahoon has such a wonderful series and I am so excited to have read this one!
My sister in law gave me my birthday present early, one of which I shared on Steeped in Tradition this week. I have wanted a shamrock themed teacup and saucer since finding out about my Irish heritage last year, this pretty cup and saucer is really the crown jewel of my collection.
I have so enjoyed this weeks tea, cozies and gifts. I have also been hard at work trying my hand at writing for the first time in a while, I am hoping that this continues and that shortly I will have a cozy of my own to share with all of you.
Thank you for stopping by for a cup of tea and a week in review. I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com

Nightmares Can Be Murder, by Mary Kennedy
I finished Nightmares can be Murder by Mary Kennedy, This book was one I had wanted to read for a while now and my secret elf partner sent it to me. I loved the cover and the idea of the dream club is what drew me to this book.
Business consultant Taylor Blake has returned to Savannah, Georgia, to help her sister Allison turn her dream of running an old-fashioned candy store into a reality. Allison is also interested in dream interpretation and invites Taylor to her Friday night Dream Club, where members meet once a week to share and analyze their dreams. When a local dance instructor, Chico Hernandez, is found dead in his studio, and the murder scene has an eerie resemblance to one of the dreams shared at their meeting, Taylor can't help but be intrigued. And when her sister, who was briefly involved with the dance teacher, becomes the prime suspect, Taylor and their fellow club members can't be caught napping. It's up to them to dream up a solution to the murder before Allison faces a real-life nightmare.
This book was not quite what I thought it was going to be about, I enjoyed the book, but honestly I felt like it was almost told from the wrong perspective. The mystery was good, the characters were interesting and I was truly surprised in the end. I would like to read more from this series and hope that perhaps the sisters work more together in the future books, I almost felt like they should have been a team from the beginning. I really like the idea of the series and hope that in the future books the club builds on what they have learned in the first book.
Thank you for joining me for a cup of tea and a cozy mystery review. I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com

3- Etsy Items I just love ...
I just found this personalized etched tea cup and saucer, oh how the story would be different if it was the glass tea cup and saucer that went missing and not the glass slipper. I think this is going to the top of my wish list! How cool would this be to get as a gift? Offered from Morning Fog Studios and starting at $14.99 this is a fun gift idea. (only ships in the USA though) click here for shop and listing.
The third Etsy item I wanted to share is from Modern Vintage Market, they will take your scanned pdf recipe card and turn it into a keepsake tea towel. I have my grandmothers cards and I think this would be so cool to do! Click here to learn more.
The mailman brought me a treat, the first in series from Mary Kennedy's Nightmares Can Be Murder. I had participated in a tea and book swap and package one to arrive was this! I am thrilled!
I hope you enjoy your day, I am off to make tea!

I just found this tea and tea company which is actually not far from my home. I may just have to order it to give it a try. The company is called New Moon Tea Company and it is a Canadian Organic Tea shop, it looks amazing. Click here to see their Etsy Shop.
