Crime And Poetry By Amanda Flower Is A Clever, Refreshing And Enchanting Read

Crime and Poetry by Amanda Flower was exceptional. I was truly delighted to get an advanced E-Copy even though I have ordered the paperback from The Book Depository. I thought this was going to be a heavier paranormal cozy but I was delighted to find that while this is a magical cozy it is not the main focus of the book. I was pleasantly surprised by the subtle way magic enhanced the story and I think you will too.
Crime and Poetry has an exceptional cover and the writing is so well done that I could picture myself moving about the book store and town with Violet. I was truly guessing until almost the end and was much relieved at the books end.

"Rushing home to sit by her ailing grandmother’s bedside, Violet Waverly is shocked to find Grandma Daisy the picture of perfect health. Violet doesn’t need to read between the lines: her grandma wants Violet back home and working in her magical store, Charming Books. It’s where the perfect book tends to fly off the shelf and pick you... Violet has every intention to hightail it back to Chicago, but then a dead man is discovered clutching a volume of Emily Dickinson’s poems from Grandma Daisy’s shop. The victim is Benedict Raisin, who recently put Grandma Daisy in his will, making her a prime suspect. Now, with the help of a tuxedo cat named Emerson, Violet will have to find a killer to keep Grandma from getting booked for good..."
I also love a story with a great cat and this one has a Tuxedo cat named Emerson that looks an awful lot like my cat Squirrel. While I love Emerson there is another Animal at the Charming Bookstore that has me very excited but you are going to have to read the story to see what I am talking about.
Pre order Crime and Poetry now for the April 5th release date. You will be so glad you did!
