Just finished Mission Impawsible by Krista Davis. I really wish that Wagtail was a real place. If you are not yet familiar with this amazing series and you are a pet lover, you need to read this series. Lisa K told me about this series just before the first book came out and I anxiously awaited its release. I have since read and loved each of these 4 books. The idea of a town where you can bring your pets with you on vacation is quite simply a wonderful idea for a cozy that is one of my most favorite to arm chair travel too. Mission Impawsible had me worried about how this murder mystery would play out and yet it was perfectly planned out. I did not want to rush a word and as I finished the last sentence it hit me that I need to wait a really long time for the next book now! My time in Wagtail was up far too soon but what a great time I had. Beautiful Inn, Match Making Weekend, Breakfast in bed, Tea with your fur babies, fun shopping, sight seeing and more with like minded pet loving people, no cars and no cell reception...makes one want to consider a move. Book 4, Mission Impawsible will be out February 7th!
From the New York Times bestselling author of Murder Most Howl comes the fourth Paws & Claws mystery... In the pet-friendly town of Wagtail, Virginia, there’s no love lost when Holly Miller meets her match in a murderer... Holly and her grandmother, Oma, are working their tails off to prepare the Sugar Maple Inn for an upcoming matchmaking event for pet owners. While Holly has no interest in pairing up, Oma plans on playing Cupid and finding someone to warm her reluctant granddaughter’s heart. Unfortunately, one man Holly does meet is cold—dead cold—and he has a personal letter from Oma in his pocket. As suspicion is cast over the inn's guests, Holly—with the help of her furry friends, Trixie the Jack Russell and Twinkletoes the cat—must fetch the real killer, or she may soon have a date in court.
