One of my most favorite days is coming up this summer and I wanted to let you know about it. This year is the 4th annual Buy A Friend A Book Day on August 31st. This is very simple to participate in, you just purchase a book for a friend on August 31st and give or send it to them.

I have participated for the last three years and I love sending books to friends. I have used The Book Depository for the last few Buy A Friend A Book Day's and I plan to do the same this year. If you are new to my blog, I live in Canada and the free world wide shipping on all books from The Book Depository makes gift giving that much easier!

If you are part of the Save Our Cozies movement this is a great time to purchase cozy mystery books for friends. You can purchase and send any book to any friend. Don't have a friend? Make one by buying and donating books to those in need:

It's Buy A Friend A Book Day!

It is buy a friend a book day! I love this day! Today I will purchase a book for a friend from The Book Depository because the shipping is free and I can send that book directly to a friend!
This is the third year I will participate and I really think this should be a recognized day!

You can and should purchase from a local small independent book store of course when ever possible but the friend I have in mind lives very far from me and well shipping where I live is twice the cost of the book! It doesn't have to be an expensive book and it can be for anyone you consider a friend!
I think this is such a fun way to celebrate the love of reading and share that love with someone who's friendship you value!

So right after tea I will place my order for my friend and can not wait to hear what she thinks of it!

A Wonderful Event For Those Of Us Who Love Books! Buy A Friend A Book Day Is Coming Up!

My friend Lisa from Lisa K's Book Reviews reminded me that August 31st is Buy A Friend A Book Day! I love this idea and have participated the last three years. There are events on Facebook and all over the world and to participate you really just need to buy a friend a book. Simple easy and fun. That friend could be a child, a close friend, a teacher, a school, a library.
