Murder Buys A Lemon by Christy Fifield

Well, hello there old friend, it has been quite sometime since we last visited. Almost 2 years, boy things have changed and yet somethings have stayed the same. For me the love of tea and reading really never left, but allowing myself the time to read, in an ever changing world where I felt like if I took my eyes off of the news, social media etc that the world would indeed come to an end and in ways It was that fear that has kept me away from reading and reviewing for so long. When we last chatted in 2020 things were about to change even more than I had ever imagined, my life had done a 360 and then well Covid-19 took us by storm, and now in 2022, here we are, War in the Ukraine, Covid-19 still a daily concern and yet, a gentle pause in my new life (working now in a school) afforded me a Spring Break reprieve. One the first night of Spring Break for me, I received an email request to read a book in the Haunted Tourist Shop Series. Now Christy Fifield had actually been on my mind in recent months as I was remembering how much I loved this series, main character Glory and her coffee bereft Parrot Bluebird. Not having read a book in a very long time. I jumped at the chance to read this 5th book in the series.

I absolutely loved it! This is book 5 in the series which was once a Berkley series. It was like visiting and catching up with old friends. Picking up where we left off and a really enjoyable visit! Keyhole bay and Glory's friends, the shop and the adventures of best friends Glory and Karen, their weekly dinner crew and of course Bluebird and his antics made this book one I could not put down. I absolutely loved it and I also loved that this out of practice armchair sleuth, did not have the murderer figured out in the end! A great read and one I highly recommend!

Now I won't pretend I understand the ins and outs of Kickstarter however, @tusnamiridgepublishing on instagram and you can find the kickstarter here is offering a chance to win an early copy of the book for the launch of the kickstarter Tuesday!

Murder Ties The Knot Another Fantastic Haunted Souvenir Shop Mystery By Christy Fifield

I discovered the Haunted Souvenir Shop Mystery series at my Library about two years ago. Spinning the rack for inspiration I happened upon the first in series called Murder Buys A T-Shirt by Christy Fifield. I took a chance on it and I am so glad I did as this is a fantastic series.

Proving that "Libraries do sell books" (thank you to Lisa K for that comment!) I no sooner closed the book on Murder Buys a T-shirt then I ran to order the next in series and that has continued right up to Murder Ties The Knot.

I can not say enough about this series. It has deep and wonderful characters, great recipes and the cozy mystery pet is a Parrot, seriously amazing, foul mouthed and yet a wonderful addition to the stories!

In this latest installment the sub plots are as important if not more significant then the mystery it's self. Which normally I would say takes away from the story it's self but in this book it truly enhances and furthers the series in a very wonderful way

If you are looking for a great cozy series that is already 4 books in pick up Christy Fifiled's Haunted Mystery Series. You will be thrilled you did. Book Four Murder Ties the Knot is sensational! Click here to order with free shipping from The Book Depository!

Keyhole Bay Take Me Away! Murder Sernds A Postcard by Christy Fifield, A Haunted Souvenir Shop Mystery

Last night I finished Murder Sends a Postcard by Christiy Fifield. This is the third installment of the Haunted Souvenir Shop Mysteries and I was so looking forward to reading it.
I loved getting to know more about the year round residents of Keyhole Bay Florida. I liked the story, I found it was believe able and I liked the twist in the end but I could not figure out for the life of me why the postcards were so important, that aside I would continue reading this series in a heart beat! I love  Glory and her friends recipes are included at the end of each book which I love reading almost as much as the series. I would recommend this series to anyone who is looking for a cozy to transport them to a sunny and warm small town with lots of adventure.
I am really glad I took a chance on this series last year when I spun that library rack, everyone needs a great series to transport them to somewhere warm and wonderful. I look forward to reading more of Christy Fifield's work and hope a new book in this series is released soon!

What I Am Reading Now...Murder Sends A Post Card By Christy Fifield.

Last night I started Christy Fifield's  Murder Sends A Postcard. I pre ordered this third installment of the Haunted Souvenir Shop Mysteries  from The Book Depository and I was thrilled when it arrived.
I first discovered Christy Fifield's book on a trip to the library when I was particularly in need of a good read. I spun the racks like I always do when I am in need of something to present it's self and waited for the book to jump out at me, and it did. Yes if you are new to my blog I often choose books by their cover or by spining the rack and reading the first one that falls out. It is a system that has never failed me.

I got half way through the first one and ran to my computer to pre order Murder Hooks a Mermaid which I really enjoyed last year, I kept my eyes out for the pre release of Murder sends a Postcard and well now I am almost half way through...

I will leave you now for a few good hours I hope of reading. If you are looking for a great read to take you off to the warm Keyhole Bay Florida, pick up Murder Sends a Postcard and just like that its Florida in July...
Leaving you with warm summer thoughts,
Karen
