Forest for the Trees by P. Bodi

In March I discovered P Bodi short cozy mysteries and I am really excited that I did. These are very well written cozy short mysteries that you can truly read while watching tv or on a break at work. This book Forest for the Trees, I enjoyed because the main character was easy to relate to and had a grittiness about her I liked. It was not a lack of confidence but a sense of purpose she had that I liked and related too. I think I would really enjoy reading others in this series. A great cozy mystery short.

Angela Crawford returned to her home town of Millerston to work in the family lumber business after going through a difficult divorce. She had always considered herself to be a strong woman, but just as she was starting to get comfortable in her new surroundings her ex suddenly shows up in town. Could his visit result in murder?

Fowl Play by P Bodi

Happy Easter I am on the road traveling today so I took this before I left to share today along with my book review.
on Wednesday I read Fowl Play P Bodi. This was another mystery short I discovered on Amazon while hosting the St. Patrick's Day event on Beyond The Bookmarks.  This was a really good story. It was very easy to get into and gave me a good appreciation for shorter cozy mysteries. I loved the characters, they all felt read and relatable and the twist ending was quite good. I did not suspect the murderer.

This book is a clean Cozy Mystery short story that does not contain any foul language, sexual situations, witches, or paranormal events.Being a single woman owning and operating the only pet store in town can get pretty lonely. After a rough day at the shop, Leah decided she could use some human interaction and good conversation with some friends. After closing the shop for the day she met some friends at the local restaurant. The following morning after her fun night out with friends, Sheriff Burt shows up at her store with an animal emergency. Could it be related to a murder?

I found my copy on Amazon and you can too by clicking here.

A Perfect Cup of Tea by P. Bodi

Earlier this week I downloaded a cozy mystery short called A Perfect Cup of Tea, I was drawn to it for the title and loved that it is a 62 page cozy short. This was a free kindle app download and I really enjoyed it. I love having short stories on my kindle app on my phone that I can pull up and read on the go. Mother Earth's Kitchen Cozy Mystery Series is set in Colorado and it is easy to picture this shop and character. I was in Colorado a few years ago and it the story has the right vibe for what we found while we were there too. Lots of like minded health conscious people who love the outdoors and supporting local business and organic. I liked the mystery and the main character Violet. This is a great read for those who love tea and cozy mysteries just like me.

Violet owns and operates the only natural foods grocery store and bakery in town. Customers are always stopping by to ask her for help finding herbal remedies and natural products to help them live a healthier life. One morning while opening her store, the local Police showed up to ask a few questions about one of her customers that died from a suspicious death. Could it be murder?
