On My Table and In My Cup February 6-13th

Welcome to another week in review, sadly the mail man did not have my book order at all this week. Thankfully my Kindle app has not disappointed! I was thrilled to be approved for the ARC of Linda O Johnston's book To Catch A Treat, out later this spring.
I read and reviewed the box set of Sarah Wynde's A Tassamara Box set, this was such a wonderful series and I hear that there may be even more fun adventures in the works for the people of Tassamara hopefully this spring!
I hosted a small valentines tea party this week and I will have all the cozy photos up for you tomorrow. I hope wherever you find yourself this weekend you feel cozy and loved!
Thank you for joining me for this week in review and for a cup of tea and a cozy mystery. I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com

A Tassamara Box Set Simply The Best Box Set I Have Ever Read!

I finished Sarah Wynde's Tasssamara Box set  last night and I have to say it was the best box set I ever read.

A Tassamara Box Set included A Gift of Ghosts, A Gift of Thought and A Gift of Time, with bonus short story, The Spirits of Christmas.

While I had read a gift of Ghosts, I wanted to spend more time in Tassamara and with the most amazing paranormal characters in these stories. This book collection is so much more then a Paranormal Cozy Mystery Set, it is the very best ghost stories I have ever read. These stories have a healthy dose of mystery, romance, weird and so many wonderful happenings!

This was such an enjoyable set of stories, told from so many different and wonderful points of view that it is so much more then magical, so much more then fantasy. I can only compare it to a Modern-day yet more realistic Harry Potter type town with out all the pomp and awesome wardrobes. I truly wish these books were a tv series as I could see each aspect of the story play out in my head as if I was truly apart of the story on screen. I can not find enough of the right words to accurately express how much I enjoyed all of these stories.

If you are someone who travels or someone looking for a weekend get away read this is the box set for you. While I have it as kindle I am thinking of buying the paper back books just to hold them close one more time. To find out more about this series please click here to view it on Amazon.

On My Table And In My Cup January 16th -23rd

What a week and such a treat to have made the time to read and review some lovely cozies this week. A Gift of Ghosts was spectacular and I can not wait to read the rest of the trilogy.  This story stayed with me most of the week and I found myself wondering about the characters and spirits in the book as if they were real people in real time, I love to daydream about what happens next. I got the next two books so I wont have to wonder long.

You can find A Gift of Ghosts by Sarah Wynde for your kindle app by clicking here.
A Sunday Romance I read was Sea Green by Alice Smithers,  A lovely cozy romance, British and full of fun this was a lovely change for me.
A mid week escape to Ireland with Murder in an Irish Village is just what I needed. I had so many things I loved about this upcoming cozy by Carlene O'Connor, easy to relate to and characters you too will just love, I highly recommend this Irish Cozy!
Rounding out the week with Cheryl Hollon's Shards of Murder that I started Thursday. I hope to have this review for you very soon.

New themed teas in my cup this week with Doctor Who inspired teas, I enjoyed these new blends in my cup and my new Tardis Mug. It was a nice change for my afternoon teas this week.

Saturday Night Ghost Story, Sunday Morning Review

I found on Amazon Saturday afternoon Sarah Wynde's, A Gift of Ghosts (which was free as of time of posting) and it was an exceptionally good read!

This was the perfect cozy ghost story, with a lot more romance then I had bargained for but it truly fit the story. This is a very refreshing twist on a paranormal cozy. One that I can totally recommend. The main character Arika is a scientist through and through, but she also has a talent she is very reluctant to admit too or use.

This was the perfect Saturday night read! A first in series this Ghost Story/Cozy that makes you want to order and read the series. The cover is a wonderful reflection of the mystery that awaits and is exactly what a great cozy cover should be. My only regret with this book is that I did not have more time with it to photograph with my tea. I did how ever enjoy it immensely with pizza, ginger-ale and the sounds of the wet west coast winter rain on my skylights. Click here to order your own copy of this lovely cozy novel, a steal as it is FREE at time of publishing.
