On My Table And In My Cup April 2-9th

Another week has come and gone and it is time for another week in review. I had productive and busy week. I had the pleasure of reading my fair share of books this week and truly enjoyed sharing them with you.
This week I read and reviewed one wonderful children's book, 6th in the series of Jasper John Dooley, Public Library Enemy #1. My son Alex has read each book so far and we read this one together. If you have ever dropped a book in a tub of water you will understand and love this book, you don't have to be 8 to appreciate the horror of dropping the book in the bath, have your dad accidentally set it on fire, then witness as your dad shoots the book with a fire extinguisher! The book has such a wonderful message of responsibility and team work, I think every young boy should read the series and every library should stock this beginning chapter book series.
One Last Good-Bye was also a delight to have on my table. A very good mystery with in a mystery and a tear or two at the end.
Murder & Mayhem in Goose Pimple Junction, only my second favorite title of the week, sorry trumped only by Jasper John Dooley's Public Library Enemy #1, great titles and this was a very well written book, with Mysteries in the present and the past Amy Metz does a great job of bringing them both to life.
All things Murder was a very entertaining drama filled cozy. I enjoyed this first in series and look forward to reading the next book shortly!
Friday night I finished Tea Cups and Carnage and will share the review with you tomorrow.
Thank you so much for joining me for a cup of tea and a cozy week in review. I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com

Fun Title, Great Mystery, Cozy Southern Town, Murder & Mayhem In Goose Pimple Junction A Review

Murder & Mayhem in Goose Pimple Junction, lives up to it's name. This book is un like any cozy I have ever read before. It was a good mystery in a mystery, a historian sluthe's delight and the only fault I could find in the book is that the print was too small for my own eyes...it is my birthday month and my eyes screamed for my readers....

When Tess Tremaine starts a new life in the colorful town of Goose Pimple Junction, curiosity leads her to look into a seventy-five-year-old murder. Suddenly she’s learning the foreign language of southern speak, resisting her attraction to local celebrity Jackson Wright, and dealing with more mayhem than she can handle. A bank robbery, murder, and family tragedy from the 1930s are pieces of the mystery that Tess attempts to solve. As she gets close to the truth, she encounters danger, mystery, a lot of southern charm, and a new temptation for which she’s not sure she’s ready.

This was sent to me to read and review and a very interesting read it was! I thought I had it figured out but I did not right up until the end. I loved the cover, the title and even the mayhem. This is a Southern Small Town Cozy worth reading!

On My Table And In My Cup March 26-April 2nd

It is April! March did come in like a Lion and left here on the west coast like a lamb. What a beautiful week we have been enjoying!. I am equally excited about all the wonderful books that are being released for you all to read this month. I have a had a few of them on my table in the last week and I was so thrilled to be able to share my reviews with you.
I read 13 cozy mysteries in March along with two advanced reading copies of cook books out later this spring, I think that is a new record for me!

Kathi Daley's new first in series based in Hawaii was a night well spent this past week! I enjoyed having it on my table and a "quick trip" to Hawaii if only in my Mind Monday night!
Next Tuesday several of my favorite series have a book released! You are all in for a treat!
Mia and I truly enjoyed March's Advanced Reading Copies!
This is a very busy weekend for me as by the time you read this I will be on my way to my sons year end Hockey Tournament! Not sure I will get even a few minutes to read this new to me series book one by Jeanne Quigley.
Also making it to my table this week Murder& Mayhem in Goose Pimple Junction, doesn't the name make you want to pick it up too? This one is by Amy Metz and arrived in the mail Friday afternoon!
