A Tip On My Favorite Tea Strainer To Go!

One of my favorite quick tea strainers is the type that sits on the edge of your mug. I have used this type for years when I am in a hurry and just want a mug to go or out in public and when I visit friends houses for tea who are not tea drinkers. Yes I carry my own I am that kind of person, as well as what ever cozy mystery I am reading at any given time.

These little handy  tea steepers are quite popular now in tea shops and on line but I will let you in on a little secret. If you are patient you can order these little guys for just under $1 with shipping included on Ebay or if you are in a hurry you can buy one in shop for about $7-$15. Seriously. 4-6 weeks but worth the wait for the price break!
I usually order a dozen at a time and keep them on hand as party favors, gifts or as usual when someone asks me where they can find one in a hurry.  To use these you simply put the desired amount of tea in the basket, then pour your boiled water over the basket, allow the leaves to steep and then turn the basket over into your compost bucket or the garbage and rinse for next time. It is really the easiest tea steeper I have ever used. I do not really recommend it for Rooiboos tea though as the holes are too large and the leaves slip through.
I ordered mine through Ebay there are lots of different sellers and if you are not picky on color order yours today here are a few shops I have ordered from:

Please note I don't make anything from sharing these links with you on Ebay just sharing my tip for a fun tea accessory and party favor!
Thank you for joining me today on A Cup of Tea and A Cozy Mystery, As with all my posts I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com
