A Cup of Tea and A Night Out For Me!

Last night I attended a 1920's themed fundraiser for a wonderful organization that helps families like mine living with autism experience the joy of surfing and skate boarding. The SUPA Society held it's annual fundraiser last night and it was fun to get dressed up and go!
I went looking for something to wear with the help of my husband and boys weeks ago and I was thrilled to find this vintage find at a store here called Value Village, the dress has a flapper flair but is more Dowton Abby then roaring 1920's and totally up my alley!
The whole look came together under $40 including the most perfectly matching hairband I found at Claire's accessory store!
My naturally wavy hair did not stay straight for the entire party sadly but I did get a lovely cup of lavender mint tea.  I had a wonderful time connecting with friends and helping raise money for a wonderful organization. To learn more about SUPA Society please click here.
I will leave you here so I can go read a bit more of Carolyn Hart's Don't Go Home, which is coming out May 3rd.
Thank you for joining me for a cup of tea and a cozy mystery please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com

  3. Karen, I think the lovely dress suits you to a T! It's so pretty, and so is the hair band. I love vintage styles. I'm glad more people are dressing up in them. You look great!
