This past Friday I got to do something that was something I am really excited about. I got to donate an autographed copy of Terrie Farley Moran's book Caught Read Handed (Out tomorrow!) to my local library. While I did not write this book I got to autograph it right under where Terri did, as one of my recipes was included in the book. Terrie encouraged me to do this and well it felt pretty good.
Caught Read Handed is not the first book I have ever had something I wrote published in, I am happy to report that there are currently 5 books either published or about to be that contain something I have been asked to write, which in it's self is truly amazing to me. The thought to donate one to my library where I first discovered Cozy Mysteries was not something I had ever considered. What a joy it was to be able to give back in this small way. It feels like I have come full circle.
If I could tell frustrated 7-24 year old me that I would one day read and write daily by choice and be published I am certain that I would never have believed it. I am simply amazed and even proud of myself for pushing through my learning disabilities and dyslexia to get where I am today. So if you know someone who struggles with reading, writing and math like I do, please tell them from me it gets better. Follow your passions and somehow it will all fall into place.
Thank you for joining me for A Cup of Tea and A Cozy Feeling along with some wonderful Cozy Mysteries today.
As with all my posts I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm adding a link to yours on my sidebar. Cozies and tea are my favorite pastimes.
